Overview

Remote devices within an Internet of Things network usually have weak connectivity and hence might be going offline occasionally. To ensure that the devices can continue to transmit information and receive notifications we use a protocol such as MQTT which works based on pub-sub queuing.

In this video you will learn about how you can check the state of a device, and update its shadow within the AWS IoT Platform even when the device is offline.
